The VAHS is a small organization with a big impact. We help community members connect with the past and show tourists how significant this area was to Minnesota and the nation. Here are some ways you can help us fulfill our mission:

Donate Time

We are always looking for volunteers! Volunteer roles include greeting visitors, leading tours,  scanning documents and images, vacuuming, watering the flower boxes, and helping with other tasks. This is a great way to meet new people and help the museum run smoothly. The museum manager or a member of the board of directors is always on site with volunteers.  Contact us at the museum if you are interested in helping out.

Donate Money

We are always looking for new ways to preserve and share history, and your financial support can help us do that. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help keep history alive for the future.
We have donation boxes in the museum, or you can send a check to us at P. O. Box 736, Virginia, MN, 55792. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Another way to donate money is through giveMN, an online portal for nonprofit organizations throughout Minnesota.  
In November, Give to the Max is a statewide outpouring of support for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota. You can donate to the Virginia Area Historical Society by clicking on the giveMN logo.

Become a Member

To become a member, you may send a check or cash to P.O. Box 736, Virginia, MN 55792. Include your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number, along with your requested level of membership. Also indicate if you would like to receive the newsletter via email, which saves us money on printing and postage (we understand if you like reading a paper copy, though!).
