In addition to fascinating exhibits, our museum contains the VAHS archives, which consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, city directories, church directories, high school and college yearbooks, newspapers, audio-visual materials, historical clothing, business memorabilia, books, and more.
Visitors may use our collection for research at the museum free of charge, but we do ask for a donation for any photocopies made. For researchers unable to come to our museum, we can do research for you when staff or volunteers have time for the following rates:
For non-VAHS members: Initial fee of $10 for up to one hour, plus $10 for each additional hour
For VAHS members: Initial fee is waived; $10 per hour for over one hour, but we may turn down a request if the museum director deems the request too time-consuming.
An invoice will be sent to the researcher, and payment is due within two weeks. If the bill is not paid, the VAHS may deny any subsequent requests from that person.
