About Us

The Virginia Area Historical Society was established in 1978 to collect, preserve, and disseminate the history of Virginia, Minnesota, and the surrounding area. We are a 501(c)(3) Minnesota nonprofit corporation managed by a volunteer board of directors and one part-time staff member.  VAHS is an affiliate of the St. Louis County Historical Society.

Friday & Saturday:  10:00 - 3:00
By appointment -- subject to availability
Admission & Accessibility
Admission to the museum is free though we appreciate donations. Tours are available, and the facility is accessible.
Location
The VAHS Heritage Museum is located on the east side of beautiful Olcott Park at 800 north 9th avenue.
