Support VAHS

The VAHS is a small organization with a big impact. We help community members connect with the past and show tourists how significant this area was to Minnesota and the nation. Here's how you can help us fulfill our mission:

Donate time

We are always looking for volunteers! Volunteer roles include greeting visitors at the reception desk, leading tours, collections cataloging, and other tasks as needed. This is a great way to meet new people and help the museum run smoothly. The office manager is always on site with volunteers.  Contact us at the museum if you are interested in helping out.

Donate money

We are always looking for new ways to preserve and share history, and your support can help us do that. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help keep history alive for the future.
AmazonSmile is one way to support VAHS while you shop. This is part of Amazon but is separate from the main Amazon.com site. The AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to VAHS at no extra cost to you! We encourage you to support local businesses, but if you do use Amazon, consider using AmazonSmile to help preserve local history.

Give to the Max is a statewide outpouring of support for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota. You can donate to the Virginia Area Historical Society here https://www.givemn.org/organization/Virginia-Area-Historical-Society

You may also mail a check to P. O. Box 736, Virginia, MN, 55792. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
